Campaign momentum continues to build!
Last Tuesday night, we had a tremendous BBQ event in Greenwood, with the largest financial response of any event to date. Way to go Greenwood supporters!
Then, just last night Richard won the straw poll by a 2-1 margin following the GOP debate in Anderson. Richard received 78 votes, Rice 39, Duncan 28, Collins 26, and Vasovski 11. Joe Grimaud, who recently joined the race, did not participate.
Friends, our campaign is highly Visible, Viable, and thanks to your continuing efforts, heading towards Victory in June!

1. CROMER BENEFIT BBQ, APRIL 23. Businessman C.T. Cromer is sponsoring a fundraising BBQ for Richard at his headquarters in Anderson. Tickets are $25 per adult, children and teens eat free. An outdoor family event, with inflatables for kids and more great bluegrass music from the Breazele Grocery Band. For tickets, contact Bryanne at 760-0139.
2. TIGER’S DEN DAY IN CLEMSON, APRIL 30. The Oconee and Pickens County Committees are sponsoring a lunch time meet and greet, and an evening Fundraiser in the Tiger’s Den skybox at Clemson stadium. For info or to sponsor a table, contact Bryanne.
3. COMMITTEES MEETING IN POWDERSVILLE AND GREENWOOD. If you live in Powdersville, please attend the first committee meeting this Thursday night from 6:30-7:45 pm in the Conference room at the library in Powdersville. For more info about the Greenwood meeting, call Bryanne.
4. MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF THE CAMPAIGN ON THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, MAY 6. President Obama has said that we are not a Christian nation and last year he did not participate publicly in the National Day of Prayer. I strongly disagree with his words and actions, and on May 6 we will hold a campaign event and prayer rally that will be unique. This needs to be the largest event to date, for it is without a doubt the most important. Plan now to come!
