No Job, New Opportunities, To God's Glory

Believe it or not, this is a very exciting announcement. On Monday SuggsJohnson released me from my position of staff accountant. Even though this event startled me, it did not come as a surprise. My experience in public accounting has been invaluable, but it is not my calling – I knew this and my employers discerned it as well. God uses everything for his glory and I believe that my time at SuggsJohnson will serve my future endeavors. Gray Suggs and Brian Johnson are men of God and they told me that they prayed for a month over this decision. It was the right decision and I shared with them that I agreed with it. My relationship with SuggsJohnson was severed on the best of terms; I will remain friends with Gray and Brian and hopefully the rest of the staff.

Change is never easy, but is necessary for maturity and growth. While the future is uncertain, it is in the sovereign hands of God. I take comfort in this and have complete faith in his plan for me and for my family. I am still processing the situation and saturating it in prayer. I ask that you join us in praying for wisdom and revelation.

For the time being, I will try to monetize a hobby of mine that I am very passionate about: website design and internet marketing. To that end, if you want to pass along any leads, I would be very grateful.

Additionally, Amanda and I feel that we have received an internal call to full-time ministry. We are in the process of confirming this call with our church leaders and have been in this process before I was released from SuggsJohnson. This will likely take some time to come to fruition.

    Danny,
I just read your post, and we will definitely be praying for clear direction. I believe with all my heart that our steps are ordered by the Lord, so therefore, we do not react as the world does. We rest in His sovereignty…and that is not an inactive mode. It is a place of knowing and a place of faith! I am praying for two things. All of your needs will continually be met always, and that you will have a clarity and surety of the next step. I would love to hear more about the calling into full time ministry. Blessings dear family, jan
